Testimonials

“I signed my daughter up for this and she was tentative. She said talking about and reflecting on kindness might sound like school. After the first session her mind had completely shifted. She loves going to spend time with others, working on artistic expression with a cause has reinvigorated her love for art and others. She is drawing and sketching at home more and just wrote a very nice letter to a friend who was down in her classroom. Thank you for all you are doing - large and small - it's impactful.”

“My son is very happy when I pick him up after each meeting. He really enjoys meeting kids from the other schools and learning about their shared interests.”

“My child looks forward to coming to this class every week. The staff is great and all the kids look like they are having a great time.”

“KindWorks is a truly wonderful program and one-of-a-kind - something that is needed now more than ever in this climate we're living in. The education that KindWorks is able to provide to make the teachings child / age appropriate for students comprehension, and how they are able to tie it into a science perspective about stress levels and hormones, feelings, being mindful, being aware of the differences, etc. - it's wonderfully designed. While we practice kindness at home and in our community, none of the KindWorks teachings are angles I would know how to teach at home myself. I especially love the session recaps emailed after each class. They have helped my husband and I to understand what was worked on during the session, which has enabled us to connect and bring into everyday family conversations. This is a vital program for any community. Bethel is blessed to have it.”

My Daughter loved this program and comes home with kindness tokens. She loves thinking of who to give them to.”

As a mother, I was fascinated because my son loved it and had the opportunity to interact with more people, and to his surprise, he even met classmates from his school. If I'm given the opportunity to participate again, my son would be thrilled.

My great nieces were enthusiastic participants in the program and thoroughly enjoyed all the associated activities. It proved to be an exceptional experience for both of them. The program effectively fostered an awareness of kindness through the distribution of tokens and highlighted the significant impact of appreciation on individuals.

This was the perfect outlet for my twelve year old son. Art is just such a wonderful way to get involved in something beyond the every day routines. The timing was good as it was still early enough in the day. At first he was apprehensive about the program, but the mentors and staff were so kind and welcoming to him that he decided to give it a try. One day at pick up, he got in the car and said "I made a new friend today." It just about brought me to tears. That's all I could have asked for! Thank you so much for this opportunity!!

My daughter has autism and has struggled in every area of her life. Kind Works was the first experience she's had that she's loved and looks forward to! Thank you :)

My daughter wants to go every day!

Since attending the program my son says he is more "happy" and feels a sense of belonging. He feels comfortable being himself and told me " Its nice to know there are other kind people in the world".

My Son looks forward to each and every session. He enjoys working with the mentors and staff. It has helped him to learn how to focus on the positive and limit feelings of negativity

“The degree to which you have social-emotional intelligence, and the mastery of it, really predicts success in life.”

~ Dr. Jeremy Richman

This program is more than just a class—it's an opportunity to inspire young minds to grow creatively, emotionally, and socially. Through the unique combination of ceramic art and kindness education, students gain skills that reach beyond the classroom, shaping them into compassionate and resilient individuals.

  • By engaging in hands-on art projects, children unleash their imagination and learn to express themselves in ways that build confidence and encourage individuality. Each creation becomes a meaningful reflection of their personal growth.

  • Our kindness lessons help children understand emotions, build empathy, and practice self-awareness. These skills not only enhance their relationships with others but also promote mental well-being and resilience.

  • Through group projects and collaborative activities, students develop teamwork and communication skills while building lasting friendships. Kind Art fosters a sense of community where every child feels valued and included.

  • Kindness is a skill that grows with practice. By exploring themes like Gratitude, Self-Awareness, and the Ripple Effect of Kindness, children learn to carry these values into their daily lives, positively impacting themselves and those around them.

  • In addition to learning art and kindness in an impactful and lasting way, each student will make and take home a special 8” round stepping stone and ‘be kind’necklace which will reflect some of their experiences and lessons learned during this 4 week class
