Join our Board of Directors
At the heart of Kind Works’ mission is volunteer engagement. Whether lending a hand in our Studio, helping instal a community mural, supporting an event, or participating in one of our programs, our volunteers bring our mission to life.
As Kind Works continues to grow, we are seeking dedicated community members to expand our Board of Directors. We are looking for individuals who can contribute their leadership, professional expertise, and passion to help strengthen our organization and guide its future.
Kind Works Board of Directors
Help Shape the Future of Kind Works
Kind Works is entering an exciting period of growth. As we expand our educational programs,
community partnerships, volunteer initiatives, fundraising efforts, and mural campaigns, we are
seeking dedicated individuals to help guide the organization and strengthen our long-term
sustainability.
We believe that every board member brings unique talents and experiences that strengthen our
mission. Whether you can contribute your financial expertise, marketing skills, fundraising
experience, or community connections, your involvement can help ensure Kind Works continues to
grow and serve others for years to come.
Our Board Structure
To provide organizational stability during this period of growth, our current Board officers—
including the President, Treasurer, and Secretary—have committed to serving five-year terms.
These longer officer terms are intended to provide leadership continuity during this important
period of expansion.
We are now seeking additional Board Members to serve two-year terms in functional leadership
and advisory roles. These positions provide an opportunity for individuals to contribute their
professional expertise while helping Kind Works build a strong and sustainable future.
This model allows new board members to make a meaningful impact without the immediate
responsibilities of an officer position, while also creating a pipeline for future organizational
leadership.
Board Member Responsibilities
• Serve a two-year term.
• Attend regular Board meetings.
• Participate on at least one committee or functional area.
• Provide strategic guidance and professional expertise.
• Support fundraising and community engagement efforts.
• Serve as ambassadors for Kind Works within the community.
Why Serve?
Serving on the Kind Works Board is an opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of
children, families, schools, volunteers, and communities.
Together, we are building a future where kindness is intentionally taught, practiced, and
celebrated—creating stronger schools, healthier communities, and meaningful opportunities for
people of all ages to make a positive impact.
Interested in Learning More?
If you are interested in serving on the Kind Works Board of Directors—or know someone who may
be a great fit—we would love to start a conversation. There is no obligation, simply an opportunity
to learn more about our mission, our vision, and how your talents might help shape the future of
Kind Works.
Together, we can inspire kindness, strengthen communities, and create lasting change—
one person, one kind act, and one community at a time.
Whether your background is in business, education, finance, marketing, nonprofit leadership, or another professional field, your knowledge and perspective can help Kind Works continue to grow its impact throughout our communities.
